A study in the U.K. shows that two-thirds of people cannot without their mobile phone. They suffer from a new illness nomophobia – the fear of having your mobile phone. Nomophobia is for “no-mobile-phone-phobia”. The problem is getting . The first study in 2008 found that 53 per cent of cell phone in Britain feared being phoneless. That has risen to 66 per cent this year and seems like it will continue to as we use our phones to do more .

The study said 41 per cent of people have two or phones. Many said they needed an phone just in case one of them broke, suddenly out of batteries, or they lost one. Women are more worried about their phones than men. Young people are the nomophobic, with 77 per cent of 18- to 24-year-olds suffering from the . Those aged 55 and are the most nomophobic . Brendon Tully, 23, said: “For me, life would be much impossible without my phone.”
