Canada has to ban veils for new citizens who the oath of citizenship. Canada’s Minister of Citizenship and Immigration Jason Kenney told that people who want to become a Canadian must their face at the new citizens ceremony. The new comes after judges complained they found it to know if women wearing a burqa or niqab were actually the words of the – the promise to be a Canadian. Almost a million Muslims live in Canada, 2.8 per cent of the population.

Jason Kenney said most Canadians believed new citizens take the oath in of others. He said it was important that the ceremony showed new citizens that Canada was an open and country. He also said people were to wear the veil in their everyday life after the initial oath. Canadian Muslim Shahina Siddiqui disagreed with Mr Kenney. She said it Canada’s lack of tolerance: "It's basically , 'If you wear a veil, you be a citizen.' That's the for us loud and ," she said.
