Several hundred protestors in Serbia have to stop the Gay Pride parade in the country’s , Belgrade. They fought with police in the streets and stones and petrol bombs. They also set to a garage, which is part of the Democratic Party headquarters. The police used tear gas to fight back and up the gangs. More than 50 people, policemen, were injured. This was the Gay Pride parade in the city 2001. A march was planned last year but was cancelled because of of violence.

On Saturday, right- groups marched in the streets in protest at the Gay Pride . They say that homosexuality against Serbian religious and family values. Democratic Party spokeswoman Jelana Trivan said the had nothing to do with values. She said: "These are hooligan which must be punished ". One of those taking in the Gay Pride rally said: “It is a for me to march, to stand for what I am, and to have thousands of cops me.”
