Mahatma Gandhi 62 years ago but his ashes have only been scattered. Gandhi was assassinated on January 30, 1948. Since then, his 69-year-old granddaughter Ela Gandhi has his ashes. There were many family arguments over what they do with them. They decided to scatter them in the Indian Ocean off the of South Africa.
