North Korean Leader Kim Jong-il Is Back

North Korea’s leader suddenly came back to work. Many people around the world thought he was dead. All of the world’s TV stations said he had a heart attack. On April the 10th he showed everyone he was alive. He came back to work and everyone in North Korea clapped. He is not a young man. He is 68 years old. He did look a bit ill though. He was much thinner and he looked very tired. He came back to work in time to see North Korea’s rocket launch. America think North Korea is making a missile. North Korea said the rocket is for satellites.

Do you know that English people say “Long time, no see”? They say this when they see someone after a long time. Maybe many people thought “Long time, no see” when they saw Kim Jong-il on TV. I did. Every time, I hear on the news that Kim Jong-il is a dangerous man. Many people in South Korea want him to go away. They want South Korea and North Korea to be one country again. Kim Jong-il doesn’t want this to happen. I think. Other countries don’t like Kim Jong-il. America keeps trying to talk to him, but he tells them to go away.
