DNA Spray in Fight Against Crime (23rd October, 2010)

America’s ABC News reports that scientists have found a new way to help police find bank robbers – a DNA spray. A company called Selectamark created the new crime-solving product. It will soon be available in stores for shop owners and banks to buy. It is a small device that sprays an invisible mist on robbers, shoplifters and other criminals. The chemicals in the spray do not wash off for many weeks. It contains a special DNA code that links it directly to the place that was robbed. The police use ultraviolet light to find the spray.

This is a clever new weapon in the fight against crime. Criminals may now think twice before robbing a bank or shoplifting from a store. The only way they can beat this new technology is to hide for a month and take lots of showers. It’s amazing how technology is used to stop crime. Maybe in the future, there will be no crime.
